A new colorful website engineered by lémansoft for pédibus, which is a great program that encourages kids to walk to school along with a few volunteer parents: www.pedibus-geneve.ch
Another fun site, this one mostly photos of the Euro2008 event in Geneva Switzerland, engineered by lémansoft. Check it out: www.enjoygeneva.ch. It’s aimed at fans from the various countries who came to the Geneva games. Lots of cool photos.
I always tell my friends and colleagues who keep having trouble finding this email or that email in their various folders: Don’t file email messages away in special folders, just keep them in the inbox, and when you want to find something then search for it using a search tool. So simple.
The problem is that we file stuff away in what appears to be the logical place at the time (the name of the sender, the topic of discussion, the year, etc), but inevitably when we look for that email we don’t remember exactly what it was filed under. Let modern search tools do the work!

This is another one of those questions I get frequently. Many good software engineers can design and develop good software solutions that meet the needs of their customers. But few can design a solution that will really withstand the test of time.
As most of us know, software can have a life of its own, and badly designed software can quickly turn into an ugly monster. A good software architect looks at many aspects of a design to ensure higher reliability, extensibility, maintainability, usability and so on, to ensure that the software will grow smoothly along with the needs of its users.
If you’re building an application that will need to be around for many years, should you hire an architect to help design a solution? The only real question here is can you afford not to?
Cheers!
